After arriving at Trindade , I walked an hour through semi-deserted beaches and rainforest to get to this beach know as Caixa D’ Aco. Between rain showers, while preparing the equipment to make this picture, I could not stop trying to imagine what must have been for the Portuguese navigators to arrive at place like this after so many months at sea. Certainly seemed like a paradise on Earth. I wanted to capture the colors of this location, in a typical tropical postcard, but the weather had other plans and I ended up making a more dramatic image that reminds me of an ancient, primitive location. Much more to my liking!
